How AstroCartoGraphy Really Works (Beyond the Instagram Ads)
I’ve forever been fascinated by our individual journeys in life. Especially the power of place.
Why are we all here. Why are some people born in one country and live in another. What’s the purpose of life? How travel can change us in PROFOUND ways. That’s really driven me in so many ways.
It’s way I’ve been so drawn to spirituality, mystical experiences, travelling the world and also of course astrology.
With astrology I’ve come to view it in a way that can get us enraptured in our own hero’s journey, our own ‘epic’ and as an oracle for when we feel lost etc.
What’s fascinating is not only that astrology is thousands of years old, but how we continue to evolve using it as our world changes.
The Rise of Astrocartography as we enter the “Air Age”
It’s only in the last 100 years we’ve really begun to be able to travel a lot more freely.
And now air travel has never been more common. Add onto that the internet and location free work since Neptune entered Pisces in 2011 and boom - you can work and live anywhere for a period of time.
As we shift further in the Age of Aquarius and the Jupiter/Saturn Conjunctions being in Air signs the next 200 years I think all kinds of travel through AIR are going to skyrocket (literally!!), meaning being able to change location will be easier than ever before.
I think this is why the Astro-Carto-Graphy (ACG) boom is so big and will only get bigger. Not only is travel easier BUT often we have so much more choice. Do I go here or do I go there…. so more of us are turning to astrology for guidance.
My personal experience with Astrocartography
As someone who has travelled and lived in many places since my progressed Sun went into Gemini in 2005 it’s SO fun to look back on my life with no bias and be able to see retrospectively where I went to, the lines, and the transits and wow it’s just insane. So you’ll be drawn to the places you’re meant to go, but understanding the ACG can sometimes help you lean into a decision, just the way having readings can.
The most important tool to use alongside AstroCartoGraphy
Like all astrology though, the guidance has to be underpinned by intuition. I wrote about how astrology acts as an orcale in more detail HERE. aka in can give us things to contemplate that might end up influencing our end decision but it’s never a black and white ‘you need to do this’.
Astro carto graphy is the same. The instagram ads WILL tell you that you have 3 key places in the world, your life will magically be better if you live in the right place and loads of other things but for sure they are out to get your money!! Like all astrology ACG is wayyyy more complex then these click bait ads would like you to think.
5 Things You Need To Know About How AstroCartoGraphy Works
Some of the ‘best’ lines these apps quote might run through the ocean or be in a country where you have no interest speaking the language. So which lines are really the best for you.
ACG is based on your astrology chart and the unique combination of your planets and their placements. When you go to a planetary line it will be tapping into the energy of that planet in your chart. eg. If you have Venus Opp Mars Square Pluto, when you go to that Venus line you get all of that energy.
There’s no magical line that’s ‘perfect’ for everyone. Those intsagram/tiktok ads might say go to your Venus Line or Jupiter Line, but what if they are not the best planets in YOUR chart? Also in AGC every planet has 4 lines - Venus AC, Venus MC, Venus DC and Venus IC and they all mean slightly different things.
Timing Matters. Ever been to a place and loved it, but it felt different when you went back, or you stayed for a while but then felt it was time to move on? Well that’s the effect of transits and even progressed transits impacting the way you feel about places.
As well as the planetary lines, there are other horizontal lines to look at where planetary lines cross. These are called parans and they matter. Maybe you have a great Jupiter and want to live on a Jupiter Line but then you have a Mars Uranus paran and it’s a place that’s good for a while but maybe not forever.
