Eclipse Dates and What Do They Mean For Me

What is an eclipse, and what do they mean for me?

Eclipses take place when the Sun, Moon and Earth align (or are within 17’ of) the nodal axis of the moon. The nodal axis of the moon shifts around every 18 months into a new zodiac sign and takes around 18.6 years to move through the whole zodiac.

In your birth chart you can see where you personal North Node and South Node points are. These are extremely important points in your personal chart.

Like all astrology, in addition to your birth planet placements, you will also experience the effect of transiting planets.

There are 12 zodiac signs, that we see as 6 pairs. So every time the nodes move we experience rapid changes with themes related to the zodiac pair.

At the time of writing this we are at the end of the Taurus Scorpio cycle. The North Node has been in Taurus encouraging us collectively to grow into the upper octave Taurus themes, whilst letting go of the shadowy sides of Scorpio that the South Node is surfacing.

At this time, I feel it can be so helpful to have a reading to assess what personal growth and changes happened over the last 18months and how does that help me connect with my chart further? And also what can I expect going into the next eclipse story, what areas of my chart will be activated? What happened last time the nodes where in this place?

Taurus Scorpio Eclipse Dates

The next Taurus Eclipse on 28th October is the last eclipse on the Taurus Scorpio axis since this story began back on 19th November 2021.

Astrology is a study of patterns and stories. The nodal points of the moon shift in an anti-clockwise direction shifting where eclipses will play out every 2 years or so.

As we approach the end of this eclipse story it can be useful to go back and look at your journal or digital diary and see what was happening around these dates - what patterns or themes do you notice.

How could the story be coming to an end with the Taurus Full Moon Eclipse on 28th October.
