Jupiter in Leo
From 30th June 2026 until 26 July 2027, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, will be journeying through the fire sign LEO, known for creativity, confidence and heart-centred self-expression. When Jupiter moves through Leo, we enter a chapter where joy, passion, and courageous heart centred living will be expanded.
Jupiter spends around 12 months in each sign, so the last time these energies came together was about 12 years ago, in mid 2014 to mid 2015. Astrology is a study of cycles so when a planet returns to a sign, familiar themes often return too. Always note that that year was difficult it by no means that is being repeated - astrology is nuanced and complex and there are many layers of astrology happening each year. But hopefully it was a time where you feel that there were some glimpses of Leo energy being expanded in your world in some way.

Jupiter is known as the “greater benefic” the one who brings growth, wisdom and expansion. It’s about our believes, our optimises and destiny - so following intuitive pings to create luck in your life.
What Jupiter expands:
Growth: New opportunities, bigger dreams, saying yes to life.
Optimism: A belief that things can get better, and often do.
Wisdom: Learning through experience and following deeper truth.
Abundance: Prosperity in many forms: resources, support, blessings.
Generosity: Sharing what we have because there is more than enough.
Faith: Trusting in purpose, intuition, and the unseen.
But Jupiter also magnifies whatever it touches including ego, excess, and overconfidence. Every archetype holds both light and shadow, so it’s always about our “inner astrology”, self awareness and intuition to stay grounded.
The Archetype of Leo
Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by the Sun which symbolises life force energy and creative vitality. Leo’s archetype is the Creator, the Performer, the Joker and the Leader. At its heart, Leo teaches us about the courage to be seen and to live from authenticity and playfulness.
Leo’s core qualities:
Creativity/Passion: The urge to make something uniquely ours.
Self-Expression: The right to take up space and share our voice.
Confidence: Trusting our gifts and moving through life boldly.
Heart-Leadership: Guiding others through warmth, loyalty and purpose.

Romance: Bringing passion back into love, art, and daily life.
The shadow side of Leo emerges when visibility becomes validation:
Pride or arrogance: Needing admiration rather than connection.
Drama: Making the moment bigger than it needs to be.
Attention-seeking: Confusing love with applause.
Jupiter in Leo
I’m really personally hoping we see a huge surge in creative expression (and from Humans not AI!!) Creativity is such an amazing part of being human. Leo is that inner child joyfully playing and creating from the heart and with Jupiter here to expand, bring wisdom and optimism I hope it widens our eyes to just how important joy, fun and creativity are to humans and these things should come from a human heart rather than from AI.
Of course during this time we could see some overflated egos, or over-performative tendancies. But I hope that it’s a time for each of us to also have positive heart felt beliefs about us and our world and the courage to believe in them. Leo is also about leadership so I’d adore to see healthy courageous leadership in big and small ways across our world.
