If you use Chat GPT, Claude or AI for Astrology You Need to Know This...

AI is spear heading the ‘age of information’. Since it’s release we’ve seen all sorts of trends of people trying to find shortcuts, save money or mine information in new ways. It’s been a roller coaster so far and Astrology and AI has it’s own journey. From Coaches trying to make a quick buck and share their ‘astro prompts’ to people putting their chart in to Claude or Chat GPT and then the bigger players like Astrology Apps that use AI (hello CoStar) and then sell it to even bigger AI companies like MidJourney (was it just so their AI had access to 4.3million uses very personal astrology data?)

I feel MidJourney just bought 4.3million uses data to be able to market to and know about people. Be careful where you share your astro information with, it shows more than you realise.

I want to share a some VERY valid points and concerns and gaps about using AI and Astrology with you here.

Astrology is NOT just information, or Fortune Telling

Astrology is an ancient system which links to our personal growth journey and connection to the divine. It’s an extremely complex system and is not black and white. All of which I think makes it less useful in terms of AI. I feel it’s essential for astrology to be linked to a belief/faith system of your choice, that helps to ground you when transits serve a curve ball or feel difficult. If Astrology was deterministic - ie. a planetary aspect or signature only has one outcome and you have no free will and we can fortune tell then “maybe” AI could work. But to be honest AI can’t even handle the “information’ aspect of Astrology without making mistakes.

Archetypal Valence and Your Life History Matters

Twins can have the same chart, but different lives. The lives will track to their specific chart themes but each chart can have multiple possible outcomes. The chart shows your potential. So a Libra MC could create a career in fashion or architecture or be a lawyer (if we single out one placement for this example which we don’t do as we always read the chart as a whole). The potential of each expression of each archetype we call Archetypal Multivalence - so a Jupiter Venus conjunction could play out in many different ways - AI normally gives you one outcome, but what about all the others??

Coach Prompts for Astrology - real value or cheap trick?

The internet is awash with Chat GPT astro prompts from coaches desperate to make a quick buck. BUT are they helping?

In my opinion people who are not astrologers shouldn’t be sharing prompts as a cheap trick to get you in. Always look for expertise and integrity.

Putting Your Chart into AI - can you check what it shares with you?

If you put in a chart, what you get back might sound or look good BUT if you don’t know enough astrology to fact check it, you’re in a dangerous situation.

You dont’ know what you don’t know right? So you’ll believe whatever it tells you if you don’t know how to check it yourself.

I’ve seen many friends who know enough astrology or astrologers themselves have the same experience. If you know enough, you end up seeing where a planet is a different sign or house, or the angles are all messed up.

Self Empowerment and Discernment in the Digital AI Age (Saturn in Aries plus Pluto in Aquarius trine Uranus in Gemini)

I see the currently astrology really pointing to Inner Technology and balancing any Outer Tech with our Inner Tech (I spoke about this in this post). Mis information is going to be at an all time high, working with our intuition and discernment is critical. Learning the ABC’s of things that are important to you is empowering.

So if you do you use Chat GPT for Astrology, you need to have enough knowledge yourself to be able to fact check it.

Start to learn astrology your self, enough so that you can at least read basic chart and be able to fact check what you get back.
