The Astrology of Mediumship going more Mainstream

Why communicating with dead people seems more acceptable now through an astrological lens - Uranus in Gemini Trine Pluto in Aquarius 

I was recently reflecting the rise of Mediumship going more mainstream. Communicating with people who’ve passed over seems to be becoming a lot more acceptable in the mainstream - and long may it continue to be so.

My reflection was based on two people adore and seeing the group of their social media channels soar, and both of them talking about mediumship.

Dr Tara Swart: Neuroscientist and Psychologist Researching How To Communicate with Passed Loved Ones (and Instagram Following Up by 100k+ since August)

The first is Dr Tara Swart, a psychologist and neuroscientist who is already very popular in manifestation circles being the author of the best selling book The Source, and the top pod cast guest on Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Barlett.

However on August 2025 she came on with a new podcast topic with Steven that just totally blew everyone away. She came on as a neuroscientist and psychologist saying that she’d figured out how we can communicate with those who’ve passed over. Now people have spoken about this for a long time - but it’s always been considered more woo woo or even charlatan. So that Tara was sharing this as a scientist and saying she could prove it was something else. 4 years earlier Tara lost the love of her life. In the days and weeks that followed she could not deny signs of Robins in the garden, seeing images of him, and other signs. She set out to look into the science behind mediumship. If mediums can do this, why can’t all of us? This even aligns with many esoteric spiritual traditions that say we are capable of so much more like telepathy etc and yet have just not learned to to develop these senses - just what Tara is saying.

After the release of her podcast and book The Signs, I saw Tara’s social media numbers rocket almost overnight.

David The Medium: His Recorded Live Shows Going Viral and Instagram Following Up by 150k since August

At the same time, my medium friend in Australia, David Stevens aka ‘David The Medium’ was preparing for a tour of Australia and New Zealand. I was lucky enough to work with him on a retreat in Brisbane and see him in action at a live show and had goosebumps the whole time. People are in awe of the messages coming through for his audience. He’s almost completed his tour. He’s sold out every show. His social media following went from 70k to 220k (and still rising).

These are just 2 examples of where I’m seeing people’s response to mediumship and communicating with those who’ve passed over really change and open up. We’ve always had mediums, but it feels like there’s something different in people response to what their seeing.

So let’s look at the astrology of this….

The Astrology Behind Mediumship Becoming more Mainstream:

Uranus in Gemini

I first thought of Uranus in Gemini on 7 July 2025. I’ve written a more complete piece here on all the facets of Uranus in Gemini however one theme could definitely be people being more open to communicating to those who’ve passed over.

Gemini is about communication, languages, speaking and sharing ideas. Uranus is about innovation, where we shake things up, disrupt the status quo of thought, and allow new radical ways of doing things enter. It’s been in Taurus for 7 years so we’ve seen themes around our money, food, and earth based topics being revolutionised. Now with Uranus in Gemini themes around communication and learning are likely to be upgraded and changed. AI automatically comes to mind but I love that this can VERY much be about our innate abilities and INNER TECHNOLOGY which brings me to Pluto in Aquarius.

But first some dates.

Uranus went into Gemini on 7 July 2025.

Dr Tara Swarts podcast episode “Neuroscience Expert Dr Tara Swart on Evidence We Can Communicate After Death and Her Experience Speaking to the Dead!” on Diary of a CEO was released on 14 August.

Around the same time David was making first mentions of his tour with tickets going on sale September 1.

Pluto in Aquarius

I immediately also thought of Pluto in Aquarius. If you’ve been following my work I’ve been speaking to one asepct of this sigatnure being about working more with our Inner Technology. I’ve written more on this here…

Pluto is about Power, Depth, Transformation.

Aquarius is about wider community, collective, technology and futurism.

Whilst again there are many themes here around AI and robots, I’m gunning for humanity realising the power of their Inner Technology. Power to the people, through the collective and expressing and activating our inner technology like intuition, telepathy, mediumship, Consciousness awareness, precognition, the ‘clairs’ and self healing and energy perception to name a few.

Pluto shifted into Aquarius in November 2024 and will remain in this sign until around 2043. It’s only at the very first degrees of Aquarius now as it’s very slow moving.

This brings to me to a further point…

Uranus is at the early degrees of Gemini (an air sign).

Pluto is at the early degrees of Aquarius (also an air sign).

That means that they are making a harmonious aspect to each other we call a trine.

So we have Uranus in Gemini Trine Pluto in Aquarius.

A planet (Uranus) revolutionising how we see and use communication and a planet (Pluto) that is also bringing ‘power’ and transformation through out inner technology and our collective.

To me this is strongly relates to NOW seeing a rise in topics like mediumship becoming more mainstream. Not only the topic itself, but both David and Tara speak about how EVERYONE is capable of this (also very Aquarius). We ALL have this ability inside of us, if we really work with our innate senses.

Currently most people believe we have 5 senses, but we actually have around 34. When we use all of these senses and really tune into the consciousness that connects everything we’re more likely to be able to pick up signs and messages.

This is JUST the beginning of the Uranus Trine Pluto Transit. It is very much active now but the exact dates are:

Uranus TRINE Pluto 2026-2028

Academic Astrologers like Richard Tarnas who research the cycles of outer planets in relation to huge historical changes generally allow transits like this a wider time orb - so it’s never just the 2 years of ‘exact’ alignments. However I do feel now Uranus has had it’s first dip into Gemini the these around communication did peak.

Uranus will dip back into the last degrees of Taurus briefly and then come back into Gemini for 7 years from April 2026.

There will be MANY themes to explore with this trine which I’ll be sharing about. The seed of this cycle was when Uranus and Pluto was conjunct in the mix 60’s and I love tracing these huge planetary cycles and seeing the universal response in how things evolve in our culture.

I for one am VERY excited to see the positives of this Uranus Trine Pluto alignment - ie to focus on our Inner Technology and all the ways we can communicate from mediumship to telepathy - the more we focus on that rather than just AI, the more positive change I believe we can collectively make.
