Music Connects Us - Beatport Interactive Music + Mental Wellness Report

Are we using music to its full capacity? The world of functional music is opening up fast and I was lucky enough to share a few insights in using music as a meditative practice as part of a groundbreaking new interactive report and study with some brilliant minds and organisations.

The Music Connects Us: Mental Health & Electronic Music Report is a free resource that includes contributions from leading researchers and mental health experts including Dr. Aida Vazin (@aidavazin), Tristan Hunt (@tristanhuntuk @afemorg ), Ari Peralta (@mr_arigami @arigamiuk ), industry innovators Tom Middleton (@tommiddletonmusic ), Dr. Gavin Kearney (@uniofyork )George TakTak (@howmental ), Belinda Matwali (@belinda_matwali ), @frankfitzpatrickofficial and Bradley Dowding-Young (@silentmodehq ).

As well insights from artists such as @kaskade , @yousefcircus , @sarahmystory , @ben_rau and more.

The report is developed to provide solutions, harness the connective and healing power of music, and explores how functional music — like sound waves, breath work, and meditation — can combine to help the healing process.

Since I love using Electronic Music in my classes and offerings this is really exciting for me.
