The problem is, you think you have time…
I’ve been reflecting a lot recently about time. I guess it’s natural as you get ‘older’. I’m 41 and often feel surprised by some chapters of my life now being 10 or 20 years ago!! Conversations often go to “I can’t believe how quickly this week/month/year has gone!!” And it’s there that I realise the fragility of time and life.

Death, Impermanence and Meditation
The personal chapters we go through of death and rebirth - going through fires of change. Or a loved one leaving their physical body.
Either way, in any kind of death, whether it be physical or metaphorical, we lean into the eternal aspect that underlies it all. The part of us that doesn’t change, that holds the ground, even when everything else seems to crumble away. Or the eternal aspect of our loved one that now sends us messages and lets us know they are still there, just in different ways.

Meeting Your Emotional Edge In Meditation and Healing Repressed Emotions
I think we need to have SO many more open conversations around meditation and healing.
When we start meditating in particular there’s often a LOT of stuff to come up - most of us have never been able to relax that deep before.
There’s a lot of ‘stuff’ to clear.
Our “pop-physiology’ version of meditation where we follow a voice for 5-10min means that I feel we’re often missing the depth and richness of what a meditation practice can really do for us.

The Modern Day Dogmas To Be Aware Of
Most Masters like Osho, Ram Days, or Jesus had 1 true message of ‘here and now, awaken“ but apart from that their messages always seems contradictory or ever changing and that is because none of them subscribed to dogma, so they would share different pieces of advice to different individuals. The real reason why spiritual memes are dangerous
I love a good spiritual meme! However I do also believe that they can be dangerous when we over simplify deeper spirutal concepts. We can lose the potency and our mind thinks it already knows this concept when experientially we haven't even scratched the surface.
Is meditation in the west becoming a form of mainstream entertainment?
Meditation is it’s truest form is not meant to be entertainment. To be entertained means there is stimulus coming from the outside. There are many external stimulus’s that can help us to reach heightened states of consciousness, but it’s always about the end goal of how much we’re able to retain and integrate those experiences. image by Sara Shakeel
